A mountain held back from spectacle.
The image favors restraint over grandeur, allowing texture and height to emerge gradually.
BEHIND THE FRAME
The mountain is not treated as a spectacle. Kassem lets it appear slowly, through stone, texture and withheld scale. The frame asks for a longer look because it does not give everything at once. What remains interesting is the restraint: the sense that the landscape has more to say than the photograph chooses to announce.
