A passage into height.
The image carries the pull of a mountain journey through scale, compression, and the atmosphere of distance.
BEHIND THE FRAME
The image feels like a passage into mountain country. Kassem keeps the view compressed enough for the layers of distance to hold together. The frame does not say that he has arrived; it keeps the land ahead, still pulling forward. That is what gives the photograph its direction: not the endpoint, but the sense of entering.
